Leaving a forest in the footsteps of farming.
We are a small family stewarding twenty acres of pasture and woods in the beautiful Finger Lakes of New York.
Everything we do begins with the health of the land. Our farming practices are rooted in respect for the ecosystems we inhabit, and in the belief that healthy soils, forests, and watersheds directly support healthy people. Mushrooms and trees are at the heart of our farm.
We grow a diverse range of culinary and medicinal mushrooms, all Certified Naturally Grown and cultivated with the highest standards of quality. From these, we craft mushroom extracts, powders, and other wellness products. We also offer mushroom grow kits and hands-on workshops to help others learn to grow and work with fungi.
We are also actively growing tomorrow’s forests. Through ongoing tree planting and restoration work, we’re cultivating silvopasture systems where sheep and chickens graze and help cycle fertility, while young trees anchor long-term resilience. Much of our research focuses on willow, elderberry, and other species with potential to support livestock, pollinators, and a regional agroforestry economy.
Sharing what we learn is central to our mission. Through books, workshops, online courses, and consulting, we help others understand the landscape more deeply, design agroforestry systems, and facilitate meaningful dialogue around land stewardship and community goals.
And for those wishing to experience the land firsthand, we welcome guests to stay in our on-farm rentals and explore the forest, fields, and fungi that shape our work through tours and workshops.
Together, these pieces form one living system—food, medicine, trees, animals, and people—growing in reciprocity with this place we call home.
